Kristy Theller, OTD, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Kristy was born and raised in Minster, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Toledo, where she received her Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. Kristy has had previous pediatric opportunities throughout her fieldwork rotations and professional practice. She has experience working with children with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities at The Childhood League Center in Columbus, Ohio. She also had the opportunity to develop an inclusive play-based Program Development Plan within Nationwide Children’s Outpatient Centers that mainly focused on enhancing social participation and peer interaction for children with special needs. Kristy has also had the opportunity of working with children with Autism and other special needs at Helping Hands Center. There, she helped develop a Handwriting and Movement group. This group was developed to help meet student’s sensory needs and learn upper and lower case letter formation as well as sentence writing.
