Biography

Julie M. Choueiki serves as Program Manager for The Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction (CCPR) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Julie completed her undergraduate studies in Nursing at The Ohio State University. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing Administration at The University of Cincinnati. Julie has worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Department Nurse, Nurse Educator, Informatics Educator, and Professional Development Nurse Specialist before joining the CCPR Team in 2016. Julie was the 2013 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year in Ohio for Emergency Services.  Shas is active on numerous hospital committees and task forces working on Quality Improvement, Patient and Staff Safety, and Evidence Based Practice. She has served as a Co-Investigator on a Sickle Cell Research Project in the Emergency Department. She is a past Coordinator of the Acute Care Nurse Residency Program and served as the coordinator for the Critical Care Medication Exam at Nationwide Children’s. Julie has served as the hospital Vaccine Coordinator and currently overseas the D.A.I.S.Y. program, which highlights nursing excellence at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
