Biography

Jessica Graber, PhD, BCBA-D, COBA, is a psychologist in the Complex Behavior Program (CBP) at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Within CBP, Dr. Graber oversees a service line called Complex Behavior Consultation, or “CBC.” CBC provides evidence-based intervention for children with neurodevelopmental differences like autism, who also have an intellectual disability diagnosis and present with complex, often intense, behavioral needs. CBC provides client-centered care within the context of family guidance and/or school consultation, to help the child and their caregivers build skills that facilitate more positive interactions, effective communication, and emotional wellbeing.

Dr. Graber earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in School Psychology at the University of Iowa, under them mentorship of Dr. David Wacker, specializing in school consultation and brief outpatient services for individuals with intense behavioral challenges. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, working across inpatient psychiatric, school, outpatient, and telehealth contexts. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Texas at San Antonio, working as a research consultant, university instructor, and clinical supervisor. Since completing her training, Dr. Graber has supervised psychological and behavior analytic services for persons with neurodevelopmental differences and adaptive challenges across school, outpatient, residential treatment, and telehealth-to-home contexts.
