Biography

Emily Newton, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Newton supervises the Complex Behavior Consultation program and Triple P Parent Training.

She obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University with training emphasis on child clinical psychology. Dr. Newton completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and her post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Dr. Newton's clinical experience includes Autism Spectrum Disorders, problem behavior, and crisis management. Dr. Newton also has experience collaborating with medical departments on enhancing the experience of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. Additionally, she enjoys doing outreach and presenting to community entities on Autism Spectrum Disorders and problem behavior.
