Aurelia Wood, MD, FAAP, is a physician in the Section of Endocrinology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Wood attended medical school at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. She completed pediatric residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY where she was also selected to serve as chief resident.
A Westerville native, Dr. Wood returned to Columbus and joined the faculty at Nationwide Children’s Hospital after completing her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes at Washington University in St. Louis in 2018. She has special interests in quality improvement, improving medical literacy, and educating and supporting adolescents with type 1 diabetes toward independence and optimal self-care management.
