Your Pregnancy, Week 15

After weeks of not looking pregnant, you may suddenly find your clothes are becoming uncomfortable! You may also notice that you’re starting to gain weight. This may be especially true if you find food more appealing now than you did in your first trimester. Don’t panic about seeing the pounds adding up. In addition to the growth of your baby, weight gain in the second trimester is due to increases in tissue, blood volume, and fat stores. It’s also due to the growth of your uterus and breasts. Expect to add about ½ to 1 pound each week during this stage. This pattern should continue through the rest of your pregnancy.
