Biography
Eric R. Schumacher, DO, is a member of the Section of Hospital Pediatrics and Adult Hospital Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is an attending physician on the General Pediatric Medicine Inpatient Service where he teaches residents and medical students during their inpatient month. Dr. Schumacher also is an attending physician on the Adult Medicine Consult Service at Nationwide Children's Hospital, which addresses inpatient care needs of adult patients admitted to Nationwide Children's. Dr. Schumacher also is a faculty member in the Division of Hospital Medicine at The Ohio State University where he is a hospitalist for University Hospitals, The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. His clinical interests include hospital medicine, quality improvement and medical education. He is board certified in both internal medicine and Pediatrics.
