Continuing Education – FREE to Behavioral Health Employees

Our department has its own team of dedicated education professionals. In addition to ensuring all clinical staff remain up-to-date with required education, this group coordinates and delivers continuing education to keep our staff’s intervention skills on the cutting edge of evidence-based care. Through this team’s offerings and other educational opportunities throughout the hospital, there’s no need for our staff to incur the added expense of paying for CE courses to maintain licensure—it’s all provided to them by virtue of being an employee!

Examples of course offerings include: Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Grand Rounds, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behavior Management, quarterly day-long conference style learning for clinicians and psychologists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and much more!

YOU Matter Program

At Nationwide Children’s, we support the emotional and mental wellbeing of employees dealing with work related, and potentially traumatic stressors, through the YOU Matter program. The program is aimed at preventing and reducing distress and burnout in staff and trainees. Individual and group support is provided for Nationwide Children’s employees 24 hours a day. Learn more.
