Hiren P. Patel, MD

Hiren Patel, MD, is chief of the Section of Nephrology and Hypertension and medical director of the Kidney Transplant Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is also a clinical associate professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. His clinical interests include glomerular and tubular disorders, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. His research interests include improving clinical outcomes in chronic kidney disease, particularly in the dialysis and renal transplant populations. Dr. Patel is the local principal and co-investigator for multiple local and multi-center studies.
