They discovered Dr. Jerry Mendell who is the Director of the Center for Gene Therapy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Soon enough they were on their way to Columbus to meet Dr. Mendell – a first of many six-hour trips that they now make every three months for Gage’s care.
Gage is turning 10 this August, and he’s just like most boys his age. He recently returned from his favorite summer activity, which is attending Muscular Dystrophy Camp in Kentucky. Gage loves to be outside, is very laid back, and is a huge NASCAR fan.
