Dr. Vear is the Co-Director of the Program for Personalized Medicine and Pharmacogenomics in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplant at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Vear received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Dr. Vear completed her fellowship training at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is board-certified in general pediatrics, pediatric hematology/oncology and clinical pharmacology. Her research interests include pharmacogenomics, chemotherapy toxicities and targeted therapies. Clinically, she sees primarily oncology patients with a focus on leukemia and cancer predisposition syndromes.
