Summer months bring smiles, tans, vacation, and a lot of bored teenagers. A common complaint of teenage girls during the summer months is that they are “bored” and “have nothing to do”. What if there was something to do that was fun and good for you?” This summer Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine is introducing “The Evening Rush” - a body awareness boot camp for girls.
The Evening Rush is a 60 minutes stimulating and interactive bootcamp style class. This class is specifically designed for high school aged girls and focuses on a fast-paced combination of cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility exercises all in conjunction. At the Evening Rush our instructors focus on simple exercises that are fun, easy, and help tone your body. We want girls to know that being healthy is fun and easy and doesn’t require heavy equipment. It is also a great way for high school girls to stay active and in shape over the summer whether they're a weekend warrior, a non-athlete, or are getting ready for the upcoming pre-season.
The Evening Rush Program is offered 2 days per week for two 3-week sessions this summer and focuses on improving self-esteem and a positive body image for high school aged girls. All participants will receive a Personal Best T-shirt at the conclusion of each 3-week session.
