Matthew Barr Golf Classic
On Friday, July 10th, friends and family of brain cancer patient, Matthew Barr, gathered for the Inagural Matthew Barr Golf Classic. His family wanted to raise money for the two organizations that have been most helpful and supportive through Matthew's long and arduous fight; Nationwide Children's Hospital and Kids n Kamp. Over 115 golfers participated and the event raised over $15,000 which was split between the two charities. Many thanks for the Barr family and all the participants for this fabulous gift to the hospital. We continue to keep this strong little hero and his family in our thoughts as he continues his battle. For information about next year's event, please check the Events Calendar or contact Jennifer Barr.

ScholARTS Preparatory & Career Center Dress Down Days
Scholars at the ScholARTS Preparatory & Career Center for Children donated over $500 to the Center for Childhood Cancer at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Scholars, who must be in full uniform each school day, raised money by paying $1.00 on monthly "Dress Down Days" to wear anything made of denim. The gift was made as part of ScholARTS' annual Joy Week where faculty, staff and scholars celebrate accomplishments made throughout the year. What a tremendous example of the impact of giving $1 at a time!
