Richard E. McClead, MD

Richard E. McClead Jr., MD, MHA, is a member of the Section of Neonatology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a Professor and Vice Chairman for Quality in the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. McClead’s scholarly interests focus on neonatal and hospital-wide performance improvement and perinatal outreach education. In 1997, Dr. McClead received a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. His interest in health care administration has led to an active role in quality improvement initiatives at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and his current role as the Medical Director for Quality Improvement Service. He also serves as Medical Director for the special care nursery at Mount Carmel East Hospital.
