Richard E. McClead Jr., MD, MHA, is Professor Emeritus, Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neonatology and Associate Chief Medical Officer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. McClead’s scholarly interests focus on neonatal and hospital-wide performance improvement and perinatal outreach education. In 1997, Dr. McClead received a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. His interest in health care administration has led to an active role in quality improvement and safety initiatives at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
