This year marks the first year APPIC will use the APPIC Application for Psychology Internships (AAPI) online. All application materials (i.e. letters of recommendation, DCT approval letter, transcript, AAPI, etc.) will be either submitted online or mailed to the application service.
Visit the APPIC website for more information and to apply.
All applications and materials are due by November 2, 2009.
We will not consider an application unless it contains all of the materials listed above. It is your responsibility to ensure that your application dossier is complete.
Interviews are by invitation only.
We believe that a personal interview is extremely helpful to both the applicant and faculty in assessing the fit of our internship with an applicant’s training needs and professional goals.
The application review and interview process is handled separately by each training track. After the November 2 application deadline, each application will be reviewed by at least 3 faculty members. After the application reviews are completed, faculty for each track meet to decide which applicants to invite for an interview. Those applicants selected for interview are then contacted by the coordinator for the respective track and invited for a 1-day interview. Applicants invited to interview will be contacted no later than December 14, 2009. Per APPIC policies, all applicants will be notified of the status of their application by this date.
