Peter B. Baker, MD, is Section Chief for Anatomic Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a Clinical Professor of Pathology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Baker’s clinical activities include Surgical Pathology and Autopsy Pathology. Special areas of interest in clinical practice are cardiovascular pathology and congenital heart disease, renal pathology, transplant pathology and autopsy pathology. His primary research interests are in cardiovascular pathology and familial cardiac disease. Dr. Baker is a member of the Heart Lung Research Institute at The Ohio State University. A current project involves defining the pathologic features of heritable cardiac disease due to mutation in the LMNA (lamin A/C) gene. Teaching activities include lectures for students in the colleges of Medicine and Dentistry as well as teaching residents and fellows.
