Pediatric Colorectal and Pelvic Learning Consortium

The mission of the Pediatric Colorectal and Pelvic Learning Consortium (PCPLC) is to improve the care of patients with anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease, other pelvic anomalies and fecal incontinence, and facilitate collaborative research through:

  • Facilitating collaborative clinical and translational research
  • Defining research evidence-based best clinical practices
  • Creating an international patient registry
  • Promoting the career development of our members
  • Engaging in multi-disciplinary collaborations to enhance patient care

Specific aims of the Consortium are:

  • To develop and perform multi-center retrospective clinical and translational studies addressing important clinical problems we all face
  • To develop and perform multi-center prospective clinical and translational studies addressing important clinical problems unable to be adequately addressed at a single center
  • Provide opportunities for fellows and junior physicians in multiple fields to become involved in multi-center clinical studies and publications to enhance their career development
