Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Goal:
The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course is to equip the student with the cognitive & psychomotor skills necessary to recognize, resuscitate, and stabilize the infant or child in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest.

Course Information

Intended Audience

The course is intended for healthcare providers. For example, medical, nursing, paramedical, respiratory therapists, dentists, pharmacists, or allied health professionals whose daily occupation demands proficiency in the knowledge and skills of pediatric life support.


Registration
Fees

The registration fee is $250.00 (For Non Hospital Participants) per person for the Provider course. Fee includes educational materials, continental breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Payment is required at the time of registration.

Class Size

The Provider class size is limited to 18 and registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration deadline for all courses is 4 weeks prior to course start date.

Regional Pediatric Advanced Life Support Faculty and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructors.

Pre-Requisites

Although a current BLS (Healthcare Provider) card is no longer required, all participants must demonstrate proficiency in these skills. A current PALS Provider card must be submitted for Renewal participants.

Cancellation
Policy

  • Cancellations must be received in writing.
  • Cancellations received after the registration deadline (4 weeks prior to class) will be subject to a 40% cancellation fee.
  • No refunds will be made within ten (10) days of course start date.
  • Confirmed registrants who do not attend the course are liable for the entire fee.

Additional Information

  • Study materials and confirmation letters will be sent to all participants after the registration deadline.
  • If you have not received study materials by 2 weeks prior to your course date, please contact us immediately.
  • If you change your address after you have registered, please notify the PALS Training Center so your materials are sent to the correct location.

Parking & Shuttle

  • Parking & Shuttle Parking is located on 18th Street in either the garage or surface lots.
  • NCH Main Campus Employees must take the Shuttle to 255 E. Main for PALS Courses, unless Employee is assigned to the 255 E. Main St. Lot.
  • Non-Employees may park in the visitor area at 255 E. Main St. (Use Entrance on E. Main) If there are no spots, you will be directed to the Mound St. lot and a shuttle will be dispatched to pick you up.
