Ohio Better Birth Outcomes 2009 Report  Download the report

The Ohio Better Birth Outcomes (OBBO) initiative brings together central Ohio’s four hospital systems (Nationwide Children’s Hospital, The Ohio State University Medical Center, OhioHealth and Mount Carmel Health System) along with the Columbus Public Health Department and local government and community organizations.  Together, this group is using the latest research to improve outcomes for high risk pregnant women and their children in Franklin County.  OBBO is focused on reducing preterm births locally through four specific interventions and early results from these programs are very promising.  Read the new OBBO report to understand more about the issue of prematurity, learn about the four components of the initiative and meet some of the people being helped. Learn how OBBO partner Ohio State is delivering better birth outcomes for its employees.
