The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (Ohio AAP), representing more than 2,900 members in the state of Ohio, is proud to announce the recipient of the Arnold Friedman, MD, FAAP Community Pediatrician Award to Darryl Robbins, DO, FAAP. This award is presented each year to a physician in recognition of commitment to their local community.

Dr. Robbins has been a longtime supporter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) at a national and state level. He has participated in a significant number of clinical and physician hospital search committees, has served as Medical Staff President and Standing Board Member of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. For almost 15 years, Dr. Robbins has worked to connect community pediatricians to pediatric resources through his leadership at Children’s Practicing Pediatricians (CPP), AAP, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and other local social service organizations.

“Dr. Robbins has a burning passion that is totally committed to caring for each child and their families,” said Bruce Meyer, MD, FAAP, a longtime friend and colleague. “He has dedicated many hours to many endeavors that involve the healthcare of children. Even with this intense commitment to services to all children, he has been an excellent husband, father and grandfather.”

The Ohio AAP and our members thank Dr. Robbins for his commitment to children and his local community.
