Columbus Children’s Hospital is the recipient of a $5 million gift from Too, Inc. which operates Limited Too and Justice stores. The gift will be directed toward construction projects scheduled as part of Children’s strategic expansion plan announced last fall.
“We are extremely grateful to Too, Inc. for this tangible sign of their commitment to the health and well-being of all children in Central Ohio and beyond,” said Jon Fitzgerald, president of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. “This most significant gift toward construction of new facilities will benefit every child and family served by Columbus Children’s. Millions will be positively impacted not only through our new hospital building but through expanded research and education capabilities as well.”
A new main hospital building was announced last fall as part of Columbus Children’s seven-year strategic expansion effort. Slated to break ground in 2008 and open in 2011, the new hospital will feature the “Limited Too & Justice Main Lobby” in honor of the Too, Inc. gift.
Michael W. Rayden, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Too, Inc., said, “We are proud to be part of assuring state-of-the-art healthcare for children and join the Central Ohio community in supporting the local treasure that is Children’s Hospital. This gift aligns perfectly with our growing organization’s core values and is something everyone at Too, Inc. can be excited about."
