The Torch Relay for Children’s Miracle Network, “Miles for Miracles,” will make a stop in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, October 18 with all proceeds benefiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Race registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by kick-off slated for 9 a.m. in Livingston Park located on the corner of Ann St. and Children’s Dr., across the street from Nationwide Children’s. The route’s completion is anticipated to be approximately one hour.
The Torch Relay for Children’s Miracle Network began as a city-wide walk in suburban Washington, D.C. in 1990, and has grown to become a nationally recognized event sponsored by Marriott Hotels. In 2005, the Torch Relay expanded nationwide traveling coast to coast from Bethesda, Maryland to Hollywood, California.
This year, the relay will pass through nearly 50 cities, including Columbus, Ohio, and features 24 days of walking, running and cycling all to support the mission of area children’s hospitals.
Gather a group of family, friends or co-workers and have fun supporting Children’s Miracle Network by participating in the three-mile race, or just stop by and cheer on all the participants.
