Jose Balderrama has been appointed vice president of Human Resources (HR) at Columbus Children’s Hospital. He is responsible for administering all areas of the HR function, including employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee health and organizational development.
“We are very fortunate to have someone of Jose’s caliber and experience join our staff,” said Rick Miller, Children’s COO. “We have a strong HR team in place and anticipate programs will be enhanced under Jose’s leadership.”
Balderrama most recently served as Human Resources vice president for ASARCO, a diversified mining company in Phoenix and the second largest copper mining company in the U.S.
Born and raised in Mexico, Balderrama received a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Relations from Chihuahua Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
