Neuroscience Telemedicine

The Neurodiagnostic Department offers EEG interpretation by physicians who are board certified in clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Our Information Technology department will work with your institution to set up computer network connections to rapidly download your digital EEG recordings to our computer site. The EEG study can then be interpreted and results faxed to your physicians within one business day. Our physicians are also available to discuss the EEG results and matters related to the patient by telephone.

In addition, Pediatric Neurosurgery offers preliminary review of MRI, CT and other neurological imaging on patients with potential neurosurgical implications.

Rapid, long distance collaborative care is the goal of our program. By implementing readily available technology, our physicians can provide the quality of care normally only provided onsite at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. By using these technologies, communication among caregivers is improved, and patients and families avoid long-distance travel, saving time and resources.
