Conference Details

Option 1: Advanced Neonatal Pharmacology
Take a deeper dive into the rationale, evidence and best practices related to management of GER, anemia of prematurity, PDA and substances in mother’s milk. This event will also include a journal club session and a Legal CE designed to meet Ohio APRN licensure requirements.

Option 2: Stress and the NICU
This preconference event is designed to help support the NICU caregiver in providing developmentally sensitive care to the NICU patient during stressful and painful situations. Bring your developmental care products and participate in hands-on training opportunities as well as have the opportunity to ask the experts in the field your burning questions!

Option 3: Research and Quality 101: Skills to fill your toolbox
Come and sharpen your Research and QI skills and develop your toolbox! This preconference event will help you feel more confident about participating in research and quality initiatives as well as prepare you to develop a professional presentation about your results.

Option 4: PICC Insertion Class
This PICC Insertion preconference, geared towards the new PICC inserter, will train experienced NICU RNs and APRNs to place Neonatal PICCs. You will review the definitions, indications, contraindications, anatomy and technique to successfully place, maintain and troubleshoot PICCs. This class will include simulation training, with our expert PICC staff, which will allow for each participant to perform a return demonstrations as well as a review of advanced PICC techniques. This is not a certification course.
