Several Nationwide Children’s faculty members are active with the organization and participating in this year’s meeting:

Carlo Di Lorenzo, MD

Carlo Di Lorenzo, MD, chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Nationwide Children’s, is NASPGHAN past president and program advisor on the Organizing Committee. At the 2017 meeting, Dr. Di Lorenzo will take part in Concurrent Session III, GI Potpourri, titled “Rome IV: Why Should the Clinician Care?” on Saturday, Nov. 4, 8:30-10 a.m. 

Jennifer Dotson, MD

Jennifer Dotson, MD, attending pediatric gastroenterologist, will participate in the Meet the Professor Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 3, from 7 to 8 a.m., on the topic, IBD/Acute Severe Colitis: Case Discussion.

Steve Erdman, MD

Steve Erdman, MD, attending pediatric gastroenterologist, will present during Concurrent Session III, The Tumbling Dice of Pediatric Colon Cancer, on Saturday, Nov. 4, 8:30-10 a.m.

Ivor Hill, MD, MB, ChB

Ivor Hill, MD, MB, ChB, director of the Celiac Disease Center and Gastroenterology Section Chief, has chaired numerous NASPGHAN committees and served as secretary/treasurer. Within the NASPGHAN Foundation he has served on the Executive Board, and scientific advisory boards for GERD and celiac disease campaigns. At the 2017 meeting, Dr. Hill will present during Concurrent Session II on Friday, Nov. 3, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., during the Hot Topics: Treat to Target session. His presentation will be “Celiac Disease: Treat to Target! Where Should We Aim and How Do We Get There?”

Rose L. Schroedl, PhD

Rose L. Schroedl, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children’s. At the 2017 meeting, Dr. Schroedl will present “Acceptance of and Adherence to Enteral Therapy: Strategies from Professionals and Families” during the Concurrent Session IV on IBD Nutrition, Saturday, Nov. 4, 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Alexander Weymann, MD

Alexander Weymann, MD, director of the Liver Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital, will participate in the Meet the Professor Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 7 to 8 a.m., on the topic, CF Liver Disease in the ERA of CFTR Modulation.

“The mission of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is to advance understanding of normal development, physiology and pathophysiology of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver in children, improve quality of care by fostering the dissemination of this knowledge through scientific meetings, professional and public education, and policy development, and serve as an effective voice for members and the profession.”
