Vidu Garg, MD, interim director of the Center for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Research at The Research Institute and a pediatric cardiologist in The Heart Center, was recently elected to the Society of Pediatric Research Council. This is a major distinction in the field of pediatric research and reflects highly on the caliber of research in child health that Dr. Garg has conducted throughout his tenure at Nationwide Children's.
“I am excited to serve on the Society of Pediatric Research Council,” says Dr. Garg. “As a council member, I plan to be a strong advocate for the creation and expansion of initiatives that will assist in the development of the next generation of pediatric researchers who will lead the way for new discoveries to improve the health of children.”
The Society for Pediatric Research fosters research and career development of investigators engaged in work that is of benefit to the health and well-being of children. Dr. Garg begins his three-year term in May 2015.
