(From the March 2014 issue of Research Now)
Clinical Research Services has continued to work on expanding services to clinical research faculty, providing training and assistance to all staff and keeping costs as minimal as possible. The office has not increased prices in more than five years and has been able to offer a variety of services at no charge. Clinical Research Services is committed to continuing a high level of service as well as access to our facility and lab. Therefore, effective January 2014, we will have an increase in our nurse/coordinator rates and will also begin charging a Facility Administrative Fee and/or Lab Usage Fee for new projects that start utilizing our facility in 2014.
The Facility Administrative Fee will be charged to those projects using a room in CRS to see study subjects. The Lab Usage Fee will be charged to those projects using the CRS lab to process specimens and/or store specimens in the freezer.
The revised fee structure is as follows:
Please note that for those projects that are wholly managed by CRS coordinators/nurses (meaning that a CRS staff member handles the entire project), the Facility Administrative Fee and/or Lab Usage Fee will not be an additional charge.
