Nationwide Children's Hospital is pleased to offer the editorial, coaching and consulting services of Still Point Coaching and Consulting to all research faculty and clinical faculty conducting research at Nationwide Children's. Beth Schachter, PhD, and Christopher Edwards, PhD, from Still Point can work with faculty at all stages of preparation of grant applications and research papers, from concept to submission. Nationwide Children's is providing these services free of charge to help scientists be more productive, attract new funding, and publish more easily.

In addition, in-house, complimentary editing services are provided by Melody Davis, PhD, the scientific editor within the Center for Faculty Development. Melody has extensive scientific editing experience in an academic environment, and can work with faculty to set an appropriate timetable to ensure adequate attention to detail, proper showcasing of work, and ample revision time prior to submission. Faculty are asked to please incorporate at least 2-3 months in their writing plan for suitable composition and review time.
Melody's services are reserved for those submitting grant applications to external funding agencies or manuscripts to be submitted to journals with an impact factor of 2 or higher. Editorial services are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis to all investigators holding a primary faculty appointment at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University.
