Dr. Anthony Theile, We met at Grant Medical Center beginning of June when you were the physician for my son, after he was born. I wanted to reach out and thank you for the tremendous care and attention you gave to our family during our stay. We are so thankful that we were able to meet you and have such confidence in the care our son received. Thank you for making an eventful and unplanned situation so much more comfortable and calm for our family. We appreciate all you did for us!
I am fifteen years old, and I visited Nationwide Children’s Hospital on June 30. I just wanted to take this moment to express my gratitude for Dr. Heyer and the POTS clinic. For the past two years, I have been feeling unwell on and off. My symptoms were often dismissed as stress and hormones. It was this summer when my heart started to not function properly after only two weeks of good health that we finally realized how desperately we needed an answer. After seeing a local cardiologist that recommended we see a specialist, we started our search. Countless online research led us to find that my symptoms were very similar to an illness called POTS, and that there was a POTS clinic in Columbus, only a few hours from my hometown in Indiana. Finally, after two years, Dr. Heyer and Caitlin were able to give us the answer we had been looking for. Caitlin was incredibly caring and comforting during the preparation for the tilt test. She saw how nervous I was and was able to help calm me down and assure me that all my questions would be answered. During the test, Dr. Heyer was extremely reassuring and informative. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Dr. Heyer’s POTS clinic and for allowing me to be a part of it.
