The Physician Liaison Program kicked off 2013 with some additions and staffing changes. Christina Drakulich stepped down from her role as Physician Relations Manager for the Liaison Team so she could spend more time with her young family. She will continue in her role as Physician Liaison, but has cut her hours to part-time. To answer the demands in the Nationwide Children’s service area, Carolyn Figi joined the team as a Physician Liaison in a part-time capacity. Carolyn has been with Nationwide Children's for almost 23 years and transferred from Marketing and PR.
To fill the role of Physician Relations Manager for the Physician Liaison Team, Matt Hughes has been hired. He comes to Nationwide Children’s with more than 13 years in medical sales and operations management. He is a Graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in organizational communications. Matt will manage the team as well as work directly with physicians and practices in the region to answer communication and referral needs.
As most are aware, the goal of the Physician Liaison Program is to provide a valuable communication resource to our medical staff, other physicians and referral sources throughout the Nationwide Children’s service area. The liaisons offer:
