October Employee of the Month
Brittney Sprouse, Audiology
Congratulations to October Employee of the Month Brittney Sprouse. Brittney currently serves as President of the Ohio Academy of Audiology. She recognized a lack of representation from the audiology department in this organization and has encouraged others to join and hold leadership positions. Brittney also volunteers her time serving on the board of the Ohio Academy of Audiology and with a local program called Forty Cents a Year to Hear – a community program working to improve the level of insurance coverage for hearing impaired kids. Brittney cares for the hospital and her profession and this comes through in everything she does, both in and out of the hospital walls.
October Volunteer of the Month
Sarah LeRoy, 180 hours of service
Congratulations to Sarah LeRoy on her selection as the October Volunteer of the Month. Sarah has been volunteering at the Information Desk (first the Tower and now the Welcome Station) since October 2010 and has more than 180 house of service. When the Information Desk staff and volunteers implemented the health screen procedures, Sarah handled the new task with ease, even when she helping several family members at once. A senior at Hilliard Darby High School, Sarah has a calming demeanor which helps ease the fears of children who wanted nothing to do with the thermometer. “Sarah’s customer service at the Information Desk is exemplary, whether it is via telephone calls or in face-to-face customer interactions,” explains Patient Relations Manager Jeanette Thomas.
