Homecare Opens Home Medical Equipment and Supplies Store
Nationwide Children's Hospital Homecare opened its first Home Medical Equipment and Supplies Store at its Lewis Center site, 7853 Pacer Dr., Delaware, Ohio. Just 26 years ago, Homecare was operating from offices in a house on 18th Street. Now, the Homecare staff has more than 200 employees and provides a full range of pediatric home health services including intermittent skilled nursing (ISN), private duty nursing (PDN), infusion pharmacy, home medical equipment (HME) and hospice/home-based palliative care. Medical Leadership Program 2017 Accepting Interested Participants
Nationwide Children’s and its medical staff are pleased to begin accepting interested participants for a new Medical Leadership Program (MLP) starting in January 2017. MLP is an effective overview of basic leadership/management skills taught by Nationwide Children’s leaders for our medical staff. The program provides a quick start for leaders who are assuming new or expanded leadership roles in the hospital, their practices and/or their community/professional associations.

Canton Laboratory Services Center is Moving
On November 21, 2016 the Canton Laboratory Services Center is relocating to 4579 Everhard Road. You’ll find the same pediatric expertise you expect from Laboratory Services at a better, more convenient location. $500k Donation Supports Pediatric Congenital Heart Care and Research
National Hockey League Columbus Blue Jackets Captain Nick Foligno and his wife, Janelle, announced a $500,000 gift to Nationwide Children’s. The Foligno Family gift will be directed to The Center for Cardiovascular Research at Nationwide Children's, which will house the newly named “Foligno Family Cardiovascular Research Lab.” The Center is a national leader in heart valve research, recognized for its excellence with funding from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. The Foligno gift will allow for the sponsorship of new ideas, purchase of new equipment and support of next generation scientists and clinicians with the ultimate goal of advancing the treatment of children and adults with heart valve disease.

Nationwide Children's Hospital provides free or discounted care for emergency or other medically necessary services to individuals who qualify for its Financial Assistance Program or Hospital Care Assurance Program. Financial support staff are available to help families sign up for insurance (including Medicaid) or to find out if they qualify for financial assistance.
