The Procedure Center provides the benefit of a streamlined approach to sedation/anesthesia in one location, designed to enhance the patient and family experience during minor procedures and diagnostic and interventional radiological services that require anesthesia. The Procedure Center is located behind the Crossroads registration in the C Lobby. The Center is staffed with critical care physicians, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists and perioperative services.
In order to offer this enhanced service to our patients, several changes have occurred to the diagnostic imaging ordering process:
For diagnostic procedures not requiring anesthesia, patients will not receive care in the Procedure Center. Patients will be given directions to the appropriate registration area when scheduling appointments.
Another highlight of the Procedure Center are two procedure rooms available for minor treatments and procedures including, but not limited to, wound and burn dressing changes, lumbar punctures, SSEPs, ABRs, echocardiography and interventional pain procedures. To schedule a procedure in the Procedure Center, please contact the Perioperative OR Schedulers at (614) 722-4125.
