Mytinger Receives Infantile Spasms Heroes Award

Nationwide Children’s attending pediatric neurologist John Mytinger, MD
, was honored by the Child Neurology Foundation with the 2015 Infantile Spasms Heroes Award. The award is given each year to a physician and his or her institution who has demonstrated outstanding care of patients living with infantile spasm. Dr. Mytinger accepted the award at the Child Neurology Society’s 2015 Annual Meeting on October 9, in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Mytinger is the director of the Infantile Spasms Program
at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and an assistant professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. In addition to his unique specialization in infantile spasms/West syndrome, his clinical and research interested include medically refractory epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, clinical trials research, and intraoperative monitoring.
