Moments in Nationwide Children's History

(From the November 2017 Issue of MedStat)

In 1945, there were discussions at The Ohio State University (OSU) to move Columbus Children’s Hospital (CCH) to the OSU campus. After 9 months of discussions the Board of Trustees of CCH said thanks, but no thanks.

In the early 1950’s, a campaign to raise funds for all Central Ohio hospitals was initiated. At the time there was a great need for beds in Central Ohio. The agreement from the other hospitals was for them to give up all pediatric beds in their facilities if CCH joined in the campaign, which we did.
