May Volunteer of the Month
160 hours of service
Congratulations to Aleks Pham on his selection as the May Volunteer of the Month. Aleks has been volunteering on H5 and in the Clubhouse since 2011 and has clocked more than 160 service hours. Aleks’ natural comfort and ease with kids has many of the patients specifically requesting visits from him. Aleks provides extra support whenever he is needed, including for special events and on holidays. He has even been assisting new volunteers to help them feel more comfortable in their role. Everyone he encounters is grateful to have him as a volunteer. Child Life Specialist Amy LeRoy says that Aleks is “great at setting appropriate boundaries with patients and families, but also makes his time with them very fun.”
