The Research Institute is happy to announce Kate Wagener as our first Research Meetings and Events Coordinator, to help us share our cutting-edge research and broaden the reputuation of our researchers and The Research Institute through research conferences.
Prior to joining Nationwide Children's Hospital in June, Kate served as the Manager of Conference Services at Capital University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Tourism, Leisure, and Event Planning from Bowling Green State University and previously worked at Experience Columbus to bring large events to the greater Columbus area.
Kate continues to collaborate with Experience Columbus on conference proposals and bid submissions and can work with you if you are in interested in bidding to host a conference. Her role includes planning internal events of more than 50 people for The Research Institute, as well as coordinating scientific conferences sponsored by Research Institute faculty, both at Nationwide Children's and offsite.
Educational conferences will still be administered through Nationwide Children's CME and Conferences Department. Kate will be one of the assigned coordinators for any conference sponsored by research faculty.
Kate is located within Research Education and Development in WB1139 (Research Building III).
