Featured Physician: Aimee Armstrong, MD

Aimee Armstrong, MDAimee Armstrong, MD, FAAP, FACC, FSCAI, is the director of Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional Therapies at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she is also an associate professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. After graduating with her B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan, she obtained her medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School. She then completed her pediatric training at Indiana University’s Riley Hospital for Children and her pediatric cardiology and interventional cardiology training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She worked as an interventional cardiologist for 11 years at the University of Michigan, where she also served as the associate director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and as the physician lead for the University of Michigan Congenital Heart Innovations Collaborative. Dr. Armstrong was the interventionalist for the University of Michigan fetal cardiac intervention team and served as the site principal investigator for multiple device trials. In her new role at Nationwide Children’s, she is also the director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program.
