Half of the planned occupants have moved to Research Building III and the building is open for business. There is a full-time security guard at the lobby desk and Sanese grab-and-go food service on the first floor dining area. The loading dock is staffed and open for deliveries. Some of the new occupants are excited about riding their bikes to work and using the building’s indoor bike storage rooms, complete with restroom and showers. A Fed EX drop-box has been placed outside in the loading dock area and landscaping is nearly complete.
Who is in the Building?
Research Information Services was the first to move to Research Building III in May, occupying parts of the first and fifth floors. Their move was a vital step for the Centers to transition with fully-operational computers at their desktops.
The Battelle Center for Mathematical Medicine moved into the north end of the fifth floor May 1. The Ohio Perinatal Research Network (part of the Center for Perinatal Research) followed on May 15. The Center for Injury Research and Policy moved to the south end of the fifth floor the last week of May.
Who is Next?
The Center for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Research and the Center for Perinatal Research will move in the summer.
