Bi-Directional PDC to go live October 3

Many of you are aware that we have been testing the functionality of PDC (Physician Direct Connect) in reverse, allowing a Nationwide Children’s specialist to quickly reach a community pediatrician or family practitioner. Several physicians from Infectious Disease, Hospital Pediatrics and Neonatology have participated in the pilot, and we are now prepared to open the system to all appropriate specialty providers. This will officially go live on October 3. We ask that each community physician review his/her office protocol so that the system can run efficiently. Presently, we have received backline information for more than 450 community physicians. We continue to collect this data and look forward to including all physicians that refer to Nationwide Children's. If you have any questions, please contact Rob Snyder, MD, at Rob.Snyder@NationwideChildrens.org.
