Can You Share a Story to Promote Health Reform?

Hello all,

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is collecting stories from CF families about cystic fibrosis care and treatment for use in the ongoing health reform debate on Capitol Hill.  They report that phone calls to members of Congress from voters can make a difference in this debate.

In particular, they would appreciate stories related to the cost of care or whether a family has benefited from Medicaid.  They particularly seek stories from Kentucky, Tennessee, Utah, Maine, Ohio, Arkansas, and Alaska, so if you or any families in these states who might be interested in sharing their story, please reach out to them.

Email Zoe Aldrich at if you have stories to share.

I also recommend you take a look at the Foundation’s policy principles guiding advocacy in Congress on health care reform:

If you, your friends, fellow staff, or patients would like to take action and contact your members of Congress about protecting health care and access to care for people with CF, follow this link below to email and call your members of Congress.  It can be found here: They have a pre-populated email and a script for making calls, so the process is very straightforward, though it does require some basic information about you to connect you to your members of Congress.

Thank you all,

Mary B. Dwight
