Successful 3rd CAMTS accreditation for the Transport Team

In July, the Nationwide Children’s Transport Team received a “Fully accredited” status on the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) accreditation. CAMTS is an independent, non-profit agency which audits and accredits airplane, helicopter, and ground medical transport services worldwide to a set of industry established standards.

The team’s commitment to best outcomes is reflective in this accreditation. Being CAMTS accredited is considered one of the most prestigious certifications a medical transport company can achieve. The accreditation is voluntary and granted to programs that demonstrate substantial compliance with the accreditation standards to demonstrate their ability to deliver safe and high quality services. The team successfully completed a rigorous review of all services; dispatch, ground, helicopter, and airplane, as well as site inspections, reviews of documentation, and personal interviews of medical transportation personnel, hospital corporate compliance, and examinations as part of the overall accreditation process.
