Columbus, OH - January 2016
This year has held many distinctions for the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplant at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Among the most significant is the $5 million gift from Worthington Industries and McConnell Family Foundations for the establishment of NEXT Consortium. What’s NEXT? That is the question we hope to answer through the Consortium, by testing new therapies for children with cancer and serious blood diseases across multiple pediatric institutions around the country and the world. Combined with the advancements in basic and clinical research made by our physician-scientists and laboratory colleagues in the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases, we have much else to celebrate this year.
I hope you will take some time to read about our efforts and familiarize yourselves with our programs and research endeavors. We welcome the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with other physicians and scientists who are working toward providing the best possible outcomes for patients.
