Mary A. McIlroy, MD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine and Director of Pediatric Education, Research and Evaluation for the Department of Pediatrics. She is responsible for administration and development of the pediatric education program for medical students, encompassing the pediatric experiences of all OSU students in the third and fourth years of medical school, as well as students visiting from other medical schools. She is actively involved in the administration of the clinical education programs of the College of Medicine, as Director of the Med 3-4 Academic Program and Chair of the Executive Curriculum Committee. She teaches students in all four years of medical school, particularly teaching in the human development and physician-patient relationship areas. She teaches and works with residents to help them better understand the educational and evaluative processes and to become better teachers. Dr. McIlroy’s clinical involvement is with the Learning and Behavior Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
