Hugh D. Allen, MD, FAHA, FACC, ScD, Clinical Cardiologist at The Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Allen received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. After completing his residency, he received fellowship training at the University of Minnesota. He is certified in both pediatric cardiology and pediatrics. Dr. Allen’s main research interest is the heart as it relates to muscular dystrophy and is presently the Vice Chair for Academic Affairs of the Department of Pediatrics. He is the chief editor of the lead text in Pediatric Cardiology and was previously Division and Section Head of Cardiology as well as past Physician in Chief. Dr. Allen is the co-author of the newly published textbook Moss and Adams’ Heart Disease in Infants, Children, and Adolescents (Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins). |
