Marie Walburn, MS, AT, ATC received her Bachelor's degree in 2009, as well as, Master's degree (2010) in Athletic Training at Ohio University. She is certified nationally as an athletic trainer by the Board of Certification, and licensed by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board. While attending Ohio University, Marie's clinical experiences included women's field hockey, soccer, softball and swimming, as well as wrestling. As a graduate assistant, she worked as the head Athletic Trainer and Clinical Instructor at Wellston High School in Wellston, Ohio. Marie became a member of our Nationwide Children's Sports Medicine Team in 2010 and serves as the Athletic Trainer at Canal Winchester High School. Marie loves helping athletes achieve their goals. Whether it is injury or fitness related, she loves challenging individuals to achieve their highest potential. She is excited to be a part of the expanding Sports Medicine Department at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She thinks it is amazing to be a part of a team that takes pride in serving their community and doing everything they can to improve the lives and well-being of others.
