Lorie D. Hamiwka, MD

Lorie Hamiwka, MD, FRCPC, is an attending pediatric neurologist, epileptologist, and Director of the Epilepsy Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her clinical expertise and interests are in the surgical treatment of children with epilepsy, psychosocial outcomes in children with epilepsy and the treatment of children with new onset seizures. She has funding from The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s to study social outcomes in children with epilepsy and the genetic influences on childhood epilepsy. Dr. Hamiwka is recognized among the “Best Doctors in America.”
