From coast to coast, Kohl's Department Stores partners with children’s hospitals with the goal of improving the health of children in the communities they serve.
Through this program, Kohl's has provided more than $102 million nationwide to support community outreach initiatives, including injury prevention, vaccine education, promoting healthy eating habits and more.
Locally Kohl’s has been a proud past supporters of Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Sibling Care Center, Trauma Program, and Grossology Live. In 2009 Nationwide Children’s Hospital will be launching the KISS (Kohl’s is Sold on Safety) Your Kids Campaign; a safety and injury prevention campaign for children and their parents.
Four times a year, Kohl’s sells special items in its stores with proceeds benefiting area children’s hospitals and education partners.
The Kohl’s Cares for Kids program has made a difference in so many ways for the children we serve. Part of the funds benefits Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Trauma Program. A teenage girl in an auto accident had her brand new coat cut from her body, and she was distraught that she didn’t have another winter coat. Kohl’s Cares for Kids funds replaced her damaged coat and lifted her spirits. A mom with seven children, facing a bleak holiday after losing one of her children in a house fire, received Kohl’s gift cards to provide presents for her children. These examples are only a few of the hundreds of ways that Kohl’s Cares for Kids helps families in crisis.
