Sports Medicine Athletic Trainers
Kim Barry, MS, AT, ATC, is an athletic trainer with Nationwide Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine. She is licensed by the state of Ohio and certified by the Board of Certification. Her outreach responsibility is at Newark Catholic High School, where she has begun to build their Sports Medicine program. Kim previously served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Oberlin College from 2014-2016. Her primary responsibilities were volleyball, field hockey, men’s basketball, women’s lacrosse and tennis. She completed her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio University in 2014. While at OU, she served as the Head Athletic Trainer for Marietta High School from 2012-2013 and was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Marietta College from 2013-2014. At Marietta College, she was responsible for volleyball and indoor/outdoor track & field. In 2013, she was the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Southern Ohio Copperheads, a baseball team based in Athens, Ohio and a member of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. Kim completed her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Ashland University in 2012, during which time she was also a member of the Women’s Soccer Program.
